Yering Station Sculpture prize

“Anthropocentrap” has been selected for this years Yering Station Sculpture Prize exhibition in the gorgeous Yering Station Vineyards in Victoria. One of my sculptures was a finalist in this award exhibition in 2011 and it received very positive feedback especially from the staff working there! ( won staff choice award). So this is exciting news for me. I love the fact that my sculptures get to travel around so much and therefore reach a broader audience. I am starting to think of them as my children especially as my recent works are actually child figures.

Here are a few pics of the selected work, Anthopocentrap, who was also exhibited at Artunit in The Netherlands, earlier this year along with his two little sisters, the “Corpus coops”. The Coops left the nest having quickly found a loving new home. I hope “Anthropocentrap” also finds a good home ..maybe in the wine country of Victoria. I wouldn’t mind living there myself.
